Result |
Wessex pilgrims batted first and were soon one wicket down with Matt being caught with the score on five. Craig joined T.C at the wicket and steadily moved the score along to 39 before T.C.(17) was also caught. Simon G joined Craig and soon the pair were scoring freely.109 saw the next wicket with Simon(32) like his predicessors was caught. Sam joined Craig at the wicket before Craig(58) was the next victim with the score on 117. 3 wickets for the loss 30 runs before Harry joined Sam at the wicket.Runs seamed to come from everywhere as Sam and Harry threw the batt at everything. I was asked what Sam,s score was with a couple of overs to go he was on 31 so i though the chance of sam getting 50 was doubful but how wrong was I. With 1 over to go and everything crossed Sam scored 12 with 3 boundaries reaching his maiden 50 with the penultimate ball going for 4 and following that another 4 on the last ball. How chuffed was I. Well done Sam 57 not out and well run Harry between them they got 26 off the last 2 overs taking the score onto 194-8.After another of Ebernoe's great Tea's it was Ebernoe's turn to bat. Very tight bowling made it very difficult for Ebernoe to score saw little resistance from the Ebernoe batsmen as Andy Lavender on his first tour taking 4-14 and stalward Trevor claiming 4-1 off just two overs saw Ebernoe innings peeter out at 54. Although the game was over early we all still had a great time at the Stagg with the Ebernoe families where a few of the Youngsters may of had a few to many( Sam Birt ) after toasting Lawrence and Rochelles newborn then finishing of the bubbly. |
